According to local residents, the chapel was built before the revolution. Its appearance is connected to the fact that there was a church parish school in the village, the building of which has survived and is now used as a residential house. Initially, the top of the chapel was wooden and carved, adorned with doves. It housed icons that were stolen relatively recently. Later, homemade icons were installed in their place, created based on photographs from magazines, but they were also stolen. In 2009, the wooden top of the chapel became dilapidated, and no craftsmen were found who could recreate it in its former style. Therefore, in 2012, the top was replaced with a structure made of facing bricks with a dome. As of January 2013, there were three icons in the chapel: the Savior, the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, and St. Nicholas the Wonderworker. There were plans to install a fourth icon depicting the 12 apostles. This choice of icons is explained by the fact that the village was originally a fishing community.
