In Nerekhta, Kostroma region, a new roadside chapel has been built near the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. This brick structure was constructed with the blessing of Bishop Ferapont of Kostroma and Galich, funded by donations from parishioners. The facades of the chapel feature images of Pakhomiy of Nerekhta, Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker, Saint Demetrius of Thessalonica, as well as the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God. The Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross itself has an altar dedicated to Saint Demetrius of Thessalonica.
