The chapel stood abandoned and unpainted for a long time, without icons. In the mid-90s of the last century, its restoration was taken on by Nikolai Nikitovich Kosulnikov from the village of Bogolyubovo in the Vladimir region. He came to the village with his family to work in the garden and vegetable patch. Interestingly, the locals showed no interest in the chapel and still do not.

Icons were absent from the chapel, likely having disappeared in the 1930s when churches faced persecution. There are still no icons there, and the locals do not remember what was there. What is currently depicted and installed is hard to describe in words. Perhaps it is an attempt by the Vladimir Diocese to draw attention to the need for the arrangement and development of Orthodox architectural monuments in the region. For now, passing believers can only admire the exterior of the restored chapel, but they will not be able to pray in it until the holy images take their places.
