According to legend, about three hundred years ago, the Holy Virgin appeared at this site. A shepherd saw her, and the Mother of God told him that a Holy spring would appear here. Striking the ground with her staff, she opened a spring with healing water. This Holy spring is located 15 km from Kovrov, in a birch grove between the village of Golyshevo and Klyazminsky Gorodok, in the Kovrov district of the Vladimir region. A column chapel and a bathing area have been built at the spring.
