The village of Golovino is located 86 versts from Vladimir and 10 versts from Murom. Until 1885, it was a village that belonged to the parish of Ivanovsky-Prozorovskikh. The residents, living 8 versts from the parish church, and during the river floods, 12-15 versts further, had long needed their own church. However, their desire remained unfulfilled for a long time due to a lack of funds. Eventually, benefactors emerged who invested their efforts and resources to assist the residents of Golovino. The main organizers of the church were a peasant from Golovino, Iv. Rom. Romanov, Iv. Sem. Kosatkin, Al. Mikh. Avtonomov, and Moscow merchant N.V. Lepeshkin.

The church was built and adorned with holy icons between 1881 and 1885. The consecration of the main altar was personally conducted by Archbishop Theognost. The church has three altars: the main one in honor of the Life-Giving Trinity, and in the chapels, in honor of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker and Saint Prince Alexander Nevsky. The church is well supplied with holy icons and liturgical books, but it lacks utensils and vestments. According to the statute, the church is supposed to have a priest and a psalmist.
