The Varvarin spring is located 1.5 kilometers from the village of Kupani and 5 kilometers from the village of Gorodishche. This spring is considered the pride of the Pereslavl district due to its purity and healing properties. According to legend, a fool from the village of Kupani discovered an icon of St. Barbara in the marshy spring. Since then, for 200 years, people have continuously visited the spring. On its territory, there is a wooden tent chapel and a baptismal font.
