The bell tower, consisting of five tiers and having the Holy Gates at its base, was built between 1895 and 1900 according to the design of architect A.A. Latkov. On both sides of it are small chapel churches: in honor of Saints Constantine and Helena to the south and Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker to the north. This outstanding work in the 'Russian' style is architecturally close to the cathedral of the Chernigov church. An impressive three-part pyramidal composition unfolds on the front facade. The central tower volume, topped with a small tent, serves as the compositional center, echoed by the vertical lines of the decorative finishes of the symmetrical chapel churches. The facades are adorned with brick patterns with white stone inserts. In the lower tiers, the stylization and modernization of forms from the 17th century give way to the copying of ancient samples. The rooms on the first floor are covered with vaulted ceilings, while the second floor features 'Monier' type vaults.
