At the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries, the monastery acquired stone adornments. A majestic fence was erected in the "Russian-Gothic" style, which is considered one of the most beautiful among Kolomna's structures. A bell tower and two-story brotherhood buildings were also constructed. This architectural monument became a true gem, inspiring painters and writers. It was visited by members of the royal family, including Empress Catherine II, whose visit in 1775 was particularly memorable. After that, she sent court architect Matvey Fyodorovich Kazakov to Kolomna, who designed the monastery fence with decorative towers in the pseudo-Gothic style and the overwell chapel in the northern part of the wall. The towers and fence were built with funds from the monastery and merchant Sherapov. Under the abbess Nazaria, the towers of the fence were rebuilt, and the chapel was transformed into a tower and raised in the 1830s-1840s, preserving the old masonry up to the first white stone cornice. At the base of the tower was a well, which was filled in during the Soviet era, and the spring dried up. The southern and northern parts of this fence have survived to this day.
