The Krasnoyarsk Museum Center was founded in 1987 as the thirteenth branch of the V. I. Lenin Museum in the USSR. It is located at the confluence of the Kacha and Yenisei rivers. The building was constructed by the best local builders, and its interior and exterior were designed by Leningrad architects. The museum's initial collection included materials about Lenin's life and a brief history of the region before the museum's opening. In the early 1990s, the museum was transformed into a museum of political history and later became a cultural and historical complex.

Today, the Museum Center is focused on the future of culture, fulfilling the tasks of preserving and showcasing exhibits, as well as being a center of cultural life in Krasnoyarsk. Since the end of the last century, a museum biennale has been held here, and the center has become the best museum on the continent. It was here that the 'Museum Night' program first took place with an unusual scenario, concerts, and performances. Museum biennales have repeatedly received awards at contemporary art competitions.

The center offers its own exhibitions that are hard to classify as classical. A variety of projects are showcased here thanks to the unusual architecture and mobile equipment. Previously, it was an official museum with permanent exhibitions, but now it attracts visitors with a diversity of exhibitions and events.

From the outside, the museum looks heavy, but it is surrounded by unusual objects that change periodically. At different times, there have been a giant matryoshka in a knitted dress and a heart made of red umbrellas. On the pavement, one could see a 3D drawing 'Singing Dragon' by American Tracy Lee Stum, who made it into the Guinness Book of Records.

The internal area of the museum is about three thousand square meters, making it one of the largest venues for contemporary art in Siberia. Concerts, lectures, presentations, and photo reports take place here, as well as exhibitions by artists from other cities and countries.

Exhibitions cover historical events and human issues. Here, you can see displays about the war of 1941-1945, modern conflicts, shipbuilding, youth movements, and works by fashionable artists. Compositions made of flowers, Russian headdresses, gemstones, Japanese dolls, and wax figures have been brought to Krasnoyarsk.

The center also provides spaces for commercial exhibitions. There is a conference hall for 250 people with modern equipment, where city enterprises present their products.

Every day except Monday, the center features Newton Park, where you can see shows with tornadoes, northern lights, lightning, and other effects. The hosts explain physical and chemical phenomena in an accessible way, demonstrating various experiments.

The only video poly-screen in Russia operates here, projecting images from 60 projectors simultaneously, creating unforgettable impressions for viewers of all ages.
