The Museum and Exhibition Center in Langepas is a modern cultural institution that actively interacts with the local community and is open to collaboration.

The center began its operations on August 31, 1996, as an ethnography museum. The initial exhibition consisted of 220 items of household goods, tools, clothing, and jewelry of the Khanty people, which were donated by amateur ethnographer Vasily Dmitrievich Krutkevich. He collected these exhibits over many years while traveling through the nomadic camps. As of January 1, 2021, the museum's collections contain 12,700 items.

The center has eight halls for permanent and temporary exhibitions, organized based on thematic and visual principles. This approach allows visitors to form a comprehensive understanding of the region's culture.

On the third floor of the center is the Art Gallery, where spacious halls display paintings, graphics, sculptures, and contemporary art objects.
