The Museum and Exhibition Center in Achinsk has been functioning for over 35 years, since its official opening on December 14, 1984. Today, the center offers its visitors a variety of services: exhibitions, fairs, art projects, cultural and educational lectures, interactive tours, and entertainment programs.

The staff of the center constantly seeks new ideas, from which full-fledged art projects are born. Active work is underway to promote folk art, decorative and applied arts, and to revive traditions and rituals.

The center actively collaborates with educational institutions, such as kindergartens, schools, vocational schools, and universities, for which lectures, workshops, and interactive tours are organized. Joint work with the House of Arts of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the V.I. Surikov Krasnoyarsk Art Museum, and the Krasnoyarsk State Art Institute has allowed residents and guests of Achinsk to see unique exhibitions of renowned masters such as Shishkin and Surikov.

In February 2019, Achinsk joined the project "All-Russian Virtual Concert Hall," and the first broadcasts were conducted using the technical means of the museum and the city administration. Thanks to a grant from the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the city was able to acquire a high-quality video projector and sound system for the implementation of the project.
