The village of Ryabovo in the Kirov region is known as the birthplace of famous Russian artists Viktor and Apollinary Vasnetsov. In 1981, a Memorial House-Museum dedicated to their work was opened here.

Today, it is a museum-reserve that includes a natural-landscape area around it. The central part is the historical zone of the village of Ryabovo, where the Memorial House-Museum of the Vasnetsov family is located, along with the estate and outbuildings (built in 2012), the Vasnetsov linden tree, the graves of the artists' grandfather and parents, the Parsonage (built in 1881), an exhibition hall, the foundation of the destroyed stone church of the Nativity of John the Baptist, where the artists' father, Mikhail Vasnetsov, served, and the wooden church of the Nativity of John the Baptist (built in 1998).

In the museum's memorial exhibition, you can see the interiors of the children's room, kitchen, and parents' room, the family tree and portraits of the Vasnetsov family members, archival documents, and works by Viktor and Apollinary Vasnetsov.

Various events are regularly held in the reserve: festivals, concerts, folk celebrations, and plein airs. The museum invites everyone for tours of the estate and the exhibition of the Vasnetsov Memorial House-Museum, as well as offers a tourist route "In the Labyrinth of Vasnetsov's Tales."
