A bicycle museum has opened in Nizhnekamsk, featuring unique exhibits of two-wheeled transport, including the famous "pedal horse," the prototype of the first bicycle, and circus two-wheeled tarantasses.

This is the only museum of its kind in Tatarstan, and its opening was accompanied by a large city celebration. First, there was a bike ride, preceded by a warm-up involving schoolchildren, students, and employees of budget organizations, all of whom are cyclists.

Among the participants was Rustem Garipov, the head of the traffic police in Nizhnekamsk, who has been passionate about cycling since childhood when he started riding a tricycle.

Rustem Garipov personally demonstrated the correct cycling technique, riding in a bike column through the streets of the city. The final destination of the route was the "Veliki" park, where cyclists participated in the opening of the new museum.

The museum was assisted by the famous bike traveler Ildus Yanushev, who completed a round-the-world trip.

The museum is open to everyone. Here you can see military, circus, and Soviet bicycles, as well as the prototype of the first bicycle and family models, including the well-known "pedal horse," popular among Soviet children.

The museum also features a model of a two-seater tarantass, which were used in the late 19th century. The collection is truly impressive, and there is a plaque with a detailed description next to each exhibit.

My name is Sergey Kondakov, but in life, I am known as Vasily Samokatov. I used to have health problems, but after I started cycling, everything went away. I have been happy for 20 years, says the curator of the bicycle museum in Uglich, Sergey Kondakov.

The new museum is located in the "Veliki" park, and entry is free.
