The Kuskovo Estate Museum is a unique museum where the palace and park ensemble of the 18th century has been preserved. For centuries, this "noble nest" belonged to the noble family of Sheremetevs. The estate reached its peak in the mid-18th century when it was owned by Count Pyotr Borisovich Sheremetev.

Architectural elegance, magnificent parks, both landscape and regular, and the mirror-like surface of the ponds created a backdrop for grand theatrical celebrations. Especially lavish festivities were held on the occasion of the arrival of royal figures, such as Empress Elizabeth Petrovna, Polish King Stanisław Poniatowski, and Austrian Emperor Joseph II. Catherine the Great visited the estate six times. To entertain guests, Count P.B. Sheremetev built pavilions in the park dedicated to various European countries: the Italian and Dutch houses, as well as the French pavilion Hermitage, which still delights visitors today.

The main "pearl" of the ensemble is the wooden Palace, built in the mid-18th century and preserving its interiors to this day. The park pavilion Grotto, symbolizing the cave of the underwater kingdom, is also considered a unique structure. The Kuskovo Grotto is the only one that has preserved its "grotto" decoration made of sea and river shells.

Among Moscow's estate parks, Kuskovo Park occupies a special place. It is the only park in Moscow that has retained its layout and is adorned with 18th-century sculptures. In 1919, the estate became a museum. In 1932, the Museum of Ceramics, founded on the nationalized collection of A.V. Morozov, was transferred here. In 1937, both museums were merged. Today, the museum owns one of the largest collections of ceramics and glass in the world, covering the period from antiquity to modernity. Annual exhibitions, classical music concerts, and the revival of ancient traditions of estate celebrations and receptions are held here.
