Tram Museum in Kolomna

Фото 1
The museum in Kolomna, opened in 2016, appeared here not by chance, as this city can be considered the birthplace of the Russian tram. In 1891, the first domestic electric tram car was created at the Kolomna plant.

Although trams are no longer produced in Kolomna, it is the only city in the Moscow region where tram traffic still operates. It was launched in 1948 and continues to be popular among local residents.

At the Kolomna Tram Museum, you can see 200 miniature models of trams from different countries. The exhibition covers the entire history of tram traffic, starting from horse-drawn carriages to modern electric trains.

The museum is located within the Kolomna Kremlin. Although it is small, it is recommended to purchase a ticket with a guided tour to learn more about trams from around the world.
