At the museum-theater 'Zhigulevskaya Skazka', you will be immersed in the world of folklore characters from Samarskaya Luka, such as the Mistress of the Zhiguli Mountains, Shishiga, Iron Wolf, Volkodir, and Wooden Eagle. You can try on costumes of these heroes and become a participant in a theatrical performance. As a keepsake from your visit to the museum-theater, you will create talismans by painting special stones. You will also have the opportunity to explore a unique map of Samarskaya Luka.
'Zhigulevskaya Skazka' is part of the Municipal Budgetary Cultural Institution of the Historical and Local Lore Museum 'Samarskaya Luka'. The museum opened on April 17, 2006, thanks to the project of local historian and folklore collector Yuri Konstantinovich Roshevsky. Here, mysterious characters from the legends and tales of Samarskaya Luka come to life.
The museum-theater is located in the building of the 'Neftyanik' House of Culture in Zolnoye village.
For children, the museum regularly conducts excursions that introduce them to the history of Samarskaya Luka, its tales, and legends in an interactive format. You will be invited to learn about characters from Mordovian, Chuvash, and Russian fairy tales, as well as how the legends of Samarskaya Luka are born and which historical figures become heroes of local tales and legends. You can become part of a fairy tale by embodying one of the characters and even create your unique plot on the museum-theater stage. In the museum, you can craft a magical item with your own hands that will become a family heirloom. Interactive window-tables, where fairy tale characters are visible, are designed to develop children's imagination.
