On April 9, 2018, the grand opening of the museum dedicated to the great American impresario Sol Yurick, born Solomon Izrailevich Gurkov, took place in Pogar. This event was timed to coincide with the 130th anniversary of his birth. Sol Yurick, a native of Pogar, is one of the key figures in the history of cultural ties between Russia and the USA. The museum in Pogar introduces visitors to the life and work of this outstanding impresario.

The museum features a permanent exhibition dedicated to famous personalities from the USSR and Russia whom Yurick introduced to the American audience. There is also an interactive exhibit where visitors can listen to and even watch videos of performances by those who worked with Sol Yurick or knew him.
