Museum of Sewing Machines in Pereslavl-Zalessky

Фото 1
The museum of antique sewing machines, established in 2012 by the residents of Pereslavl-Zalessky, houses over 100 specimens of sewing machines from various countries such as America, Germany, Scotland, Italy, France, and Russia. These machines have accompanied people for a long time, and in some families, they are carefully preserved as part of their history. Looking at them, we seem to touch upon other eras and the fates of long-gone individuals. These machines are true works of art that have miraculously survived and continue to embody beauty and functionality. Regardless of their age, they reflect the individuality and history of our everyday life and folk crafts.

Visiting the museum allows you not only to touch history but also to peek into the shop of the sewing production studio, where you can purchase textile products as souvenirs. Workshops for making souvenirs are also offered. Adults with sewing skills are invited to create a souvenir with their own hands, such as a souvenir apron from the museum's templates. For adults and children without sewing experience, there is an opportunity to try making their first stitches under the guidance of a tour guide.
