In 1990, the Vladimir-Suzdal Museum-Reserve opened the first permanent exhibition about nature in Vladimir, titled "In the World of Animals." In 1997, after updating the exhibition, it received a new name, "Native Nature." At the end of 2008, a new phase in the history of this exhibition began: after the completion of extensive renovation and exhibition work, the updated Nature Museum was opened here.
The Nature Museum introduces visitors to the animal and plant world of the Vladimir region. The exhibition does not use a traditional collection approach, where museum items illustrate natural laws, but creates a sense of complete immersion in nature. It is a journey that lasts a year but concludes in just one hour.
