The museum is located in the building of an ancient estate of the Bolshakov merchants, which is a historical monument from the mid-19th century. This house was home to the outstanding designer of automatic firearms and creator of the world's first submachine gun, Vladimir Grigorievich Fedorov, from 1918 to 1931.

The "Museum Courtyard" is a new open historical and landscape exhibition, perfect for walks and relaxation, as well as for photo sessions with family and friends. Photos against the backdrop of magnificent art objects will help preserve vivid impressions from the museum visit.

At the entrance, guests are greeted by the hospitable Elifan, the legendary founder of the first settlement on the site of modern Kovrov. Visitors can participate in exciting workshops on traditional crafts, such as molding a Kovrov clay toy or whistle in a specially equipped clay workshop located in the ancient cellar of the house. Additionally, the museum features a rich collection of birds and animals from the Vladimir region.
