The Ural Nature Museum is part of the Sverdlovsk Regional Local History Museum and houses over 60,000 artifacts reflecting the flora and fauna of Sverdlovsk and neighboring regions.

The museum's collection includes mineral specimens, herbariums, models, as well as entomological, taxidermy, and paleontological exhibits. In 2008, the exhibition was enhanced with thematic dioramas by artists from Saratov and bas-reliefs by Shillinger.

The museum's collection was founded and continuously replenished by members of the Ural Society of Natural Science Lovers, which began its activities on January 10, 1871. Today, the museum continues the traditions of its founders, actively participating in educational activities and expanding its collection, which introduces residents and guests of the Ural region to the unique nature of this area.

Every year, the museum participates in the international event "Museum Night."

The permanent exhibition includes several halls where visitors can see herbariums, collections of insects, shells, corals, freshwater fossils of ancient animals and birds, as well as skeletons and taxidermy. This exhibition is educational and is of interest to both schoolchildren and researchers.

Among the unique exhibits of the museum is the skeleton of Megaloceros, a large-horned deer found near Kamyshlov in 1886. These animals went extinct several thousand years ago. The collection also features remains of mammoths.
