The Memory Bell Museum was opened in 1967. It was founded by S. P. Goroshnikova, a distinguished cultural worker of the Udmurt Republic and an honorary citizen of the city of Mozhga. Since 1965, Svetlana Petrovna began collecting materials about the Great Patriotic War. Together with students from local secondary schools, she organized trips to the battle sites of military units formed in Udmurtia. The teenagers visited Karelia, where battles of the 313th Rifle Division took place, as well as the Pskov region and the battle sites of the 98th Rifle Division, and explored the routes of the 357th Rifle Division. The most interesting finds became part of the museum's exhibition.

Since its opening, the museum has featured the exhibition "Buchenwald Alarm," dedicated to the history of the fascist concentration camp. The search for materials lasted about six years, resulting in information about more than two hundred active underground fighters in the camp and 30 young prisoners of Buchenwald. The exhibition includes unique exhibits: personal belongings, photographs, documents, and memories, and is very popular.

In the hall "Mozhgintsy in the Battles for the Motherland," materials about local residents are presented: memories, documents, awards, certificates, front-line gratitude, letters, photographs, and personal belongings of front-line soldiers. Most of these exhibits were brought by scouts from the battle sites of the 308th Rifle Regiment and the 98th and 313th Rifle Divisions formed in Udmurtia during the war.

During the Great Patriotic War, three hospitals for wounded soldiers and officers of the Soviet Army operated in Mozhga. Those who died in the hospitals were buried in the city cemetery, and in 1965, their remains were reburied in a memorial on Mozhginskaya Street. Thanks to the work of the museum, the names of 42 fallen soldiers were established.

The museum also contains materials about the 308th Rifle Regiment of the 98th Rifle Division, in which many Mozhgintsy fought. This division was one of the first to meet the enemy and was withdrawn from the war in September 1941. Materials about the Second Moscow Machine Gun School, the history of the Sidorov family, and the eight brothers from the village of Malaya Syuga, as well as about Mozhga during the war years, are also presented.

These exhibitions are permanent. An updated exhibition "In the Ranks of the Winged" is also in operation, dedicated to local pilots and aviation marshal F. Ya. Falaleev, the first and only one in Udmurtia.

Throughout the year, museum staff organize temporary exhibitions for anniversary dates and important events of the war. Currently, an exhibition "Leningrad. The Siege. The Feat," dedicated to the lifting of the siege of the city, and an exhibition about the Second Moscow Machine Gun School, which was located in Mozhga during the war, are on display.

The museum also conducts traveling exhibitions "Mozhgintsy in the Battles for the Motherland" and "Buchenwald Alarm" upon request and during city events.

The museum's collections include information about war participants, photographs, documents, personal belongings, and items found at battle sites.
