The N.V. Plevitskaya Museum, a branch of the Kursk Regional Local Lore Museum, was established in honor of the 130th anniversary of the birth of the famous singer by the decision of Governor A.N. Mikhailov.

The museum's exhibition, based on the memories of Nadezhda Vasilyevna, includes documentary and iconographic materials from the Russian State Archive of Literature and Art, the Russian State Library for the Arts, the funds of the Kursk Local Lore Museum, and the archive of Yuri Bugrov, the chairman of the Kursk Local Lore Society.

The sections of the exhibition highlight key stages in the life and work of the outstanding singer, known for her performances of Russian folk songs and urban romances. It showcases her journey from a village hut to a monastery cell, then to a traveling tent show and the restaurant 'lapotniks' choir, and further, her transformation from an unknown singer to a star of the stage, as well as her tragic death in a French penal prison.

Numerous exhibits tell about N.V. Plevitskaya's rich concert activities in Russia, Europe, and America, as well as illustrate her work in cinema. Special attention is given to the roots of her creativity and her love for the Kursk land, which she longed for even in exile. Visiting the exhibition is accompanied by the sound of songs performed by her. In 2010, a concert hall was opened in the museum.
