The Moscow Museum, one of the oldest museums in the capital, celebrated its 125th anniversary in 2021. Founded in 1896, it is located in the Provianthouses, which are a federal architectural monument on Zubovsky Boulevard. Today, the museum serves as a center of knowledge about Moscow, offering visitors exhibitions and performances, lectures and concerts, as well as festivals and fairs. The museum's collection includes about 800,000 exhibits, among which is a significant collection of archaeological finds. The Moscow Museum has three branches: the Museum of Archaeology of Moscow, the Museum of the History of Lefortovo, and the Gilyarovsky Center.
