The Museum "World of Forgotten Things," a branch of the Vologda State Museum-Reserve, is located in the house of Zasodimsky and has been operating since 1991. The museum's exhibition is dedicated to the everyday life and culture of pre-revolutionary Vologda, as well as noble estates. The exhibition halls are designed in a home style, recreating interiors from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. All exhibits from that era are harmoniously integrated into the historical setting, allowing for a better understanding of the lifestyle and traditions of Vologda's nobility. On the second floor of the Zasodimsky house, there is a permanent exhibition of portraits, adding another layer to the understanding of the era. Information about the estates of Vologda province from the 18th and 19th centuries is also presented here. The third floor is entirely dedicated to temporary thematic exhibitions, where private collections, family heirlooms, photographs, and archival materials can usually be seen. The branch often serves as a venue for musical evenings and children's celebrations.
