The Victory Memorial Museum is a unique military-historical memorial. The building's design was developed by chief architect Areg Sarkisovich Demirkhanov in collaboration with Brusyanin A. S. and Ulyanov V. I.

The memorial complex, which includes Victory Square, the Victory Memorial, the Eternal Flame, and military equipment, was opened on May 9, 1975. The location was chosen deliberately, as it is linked to the city's history during the war years. In the following years, the complex underwent several reconstructions: the street ensemble of the square was modified, the external appearance of the memorial building was changed, its areas were expanded, and in the 1990s, the Victory Memorial became a museum. The building acquired its modern appearance in 2000.

The Victory Memorial Museum consists of two halls: the Hall of Memory, which displays lists of fallen and missing soldiers from Krasnoyarsk, and the main exhibition hall. The museum's permanent exhibition covers various aspects of the Great Patriotic War. The museum's collections hold over one and a half thousand exhibits, most of which were donated by the city's residents.
