The Museum of Kuzma Minin, located in the cultural and leisure complex "House of Moscow," was opened on November 4, 2009, in honor of the Day of National Unity. It features a unique collection of authentic exhibits from the 17th and early 20th centuries.

The city of Balakhna is the birthplace of the great patriot Kuzma Minin, who played a key role in saving the Fatherland. The museum is dedicated to the feat of the Second People's Militia of 1612 and its heroes, Kuzma Minin and Prince Dmitry Pozharsky.
