The museum of the Utkin brothers in Kasimov opened its doors to visitors in 1998. It is located in the building of the school that was attended by the outstanding specialist in rocket and space technology, Academician Vladimir Fedorovich Utkin. This man was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor and became one of the pioneers in space exploration, renowned as a talented scientist, designer, and organizer.
The museum's exhibition tells about the life and activities of the Utkin brothers, introduces guests to the history of the school, and showcases scientific achievements in the rocket and space field. In the museum, one can see unique photographs and documents related to famous Soviet designers of launch vehicles, ballistic missiles, and spacecraft. One of the significant achievements of the Utkin brothers is the strategic missile "R-36M," known in NATO classification as SS-18 "Satan," which has no analogs in the world.
