The Museum of the History of Poltavskaya Stanitsa was founded relatively recently, in 1998, when its first exhibition opened. Today, the museum is located in a separate one-story building that is over 80 years old, on the central street of Poltavskaya Stanitsa. The museum's exhibitions are housed in five halls, while the sixth hall, with an area of 103 sq. m, serves as an exhibition space. The overview tour begins with the ancient world of Kuban: in a small archaeology hall (30 sq. m), there is a collection of ancient artifacts reflecting antiquity and the Middle Ages, found in the Krasnoarmeysky district. The 'Cossack History' hall (51 sq. m) features an exhibition dedicated to the settlement and development of Poltavskaya Stanitsa and other localities in the district. Here, one can see ethnographic exhibits, numismatic items, photographs, rare books, applied arts, antique furniture, and clothing. The exhibition concludes with the period of de-Cossackization in the 1930s. The third hall is dedicated to the history of culture (38 sq. m) and notable creative figures from the Krasnoarmeysky district and Poltavskaya Stanitsa.

The fourth hall (32 sq. m) is dedicated to the history of the Great Patriotic War. It contains military and domestic exhibits, extensive photographic material, and memories of WWII participants from our region. The fifth hall of the museum focuses on the post-war history of the Krasnoarmeysky district and Poltavskaya Stanitsa, including the revival of the national economy, heroes of Afghanistan and Chechnya, participants in the Chernobyl disaster cleanup, and the development of the veterans' movement. Various traveling exhibitions are held monthly in the museum's exhibition hall, as well as art exhibitions from its own collections and exhibitions of decorative and applied arts. For over fifteen years, the decorative and applied arts club 'Poltavchanka' has been operating at the museum, which has gathered a significant collection of hand embroidery.
