The Museum of the History of the Rybinsk District, located in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, is a municipal budgetary cultural institution. It is visited by about 6,000 people annually, often including guests from the area. Tours in the museum are conducted free of charge.

The museum was founded on April 1, 2003, based on the local history museum of the Rybinsk Secondary School named after the Hero of the Soviet Union G. P. Kuzmin and the museum of the Rybinsk Agricultural College. Initially, there were two small museums in the village of Rybnoe: one at the school and the other at the college. These were rooms that housed valuable exhibits important to the institutions and their students. Over time, the need arose to create a single museum that would unite all historical items and preserve the heritage of ancestors. A part of the second floor in the building of the rural House of Culture was allocated for the museum. Initially, it included two exhibition halls and a conference hall. In 2012, after the reconstruction of the House of Culture, the museum was provided with additional exhibition and display halls.

The museum has been visited twice by Vinosh Sofka, president of the UNESCO section for museology and world heritage. Today, the museum actively participates in grant programs and competitions, conducts tours, museum lessons for schoolchildren, workshops, creative exhibitions of local residents, poetry readings, as well as thematic exhibitions of regional museums. Museum staff visit summer children's camps to engage children in local history. Thus, the museum is gradually becoming a center for creative communication, development, and leisure, as well as a consultative, methodological, and project center.
