Museum of the History of Tatar Statehood in Kazan Kremlin

The Museum of the History of Tatar Statehood and the Republic of Tatarstan is part of the Kazan Kremlin Museum-Reserve and is located in the building of the former Palace Church, situated in the oldest part of the Kazan Kremlin.

The museum's exhibition is dedicated to the development of statehood, ethnogenesis, religion, and traditions of the Tatar people. It covers a period of over 2000 years and showcases items of material and spiritual culture of the Tatars and their ancestors.

Among the exhibits, one can see a reconstruction of the throne of the Kazan khans, a 10th-century Czech coin that attests to Kazan's thousand-year history, samples of Tatar writing from the 16th century executed in Arabic script, and other unique artifacts.

The museum regularly hosts overview and thematic tours, workshops, quests, quizzes, and other cultural and educational events designed for visitors of all ages.
