On March 21, 2018, a new division of the Krasnoyarsk Regional Local History Museum opened, the Museum of the Financial System History of the Yenisei Province and Krasnoyarsk Krai. Its creation was made possible thanks to the efforts of the museum staff and the support of the Ministry of Finance of Krasnoyarsk Krai. The museum is located in the building of the ministry itself.

The exhibition covers more than 200 years of financial management history in Russia, starting with the establishment of the Ministry of Finance by the Manifesto of September 8, 1802, signed by Emperor Alexander I. The history of the financial system is presented as part of the overall history of the state, through the lens of events implemented by the financial department, as well as through the fates of the people who participated in these events.
