Ryazan region is known for its masters and craftsmen. Various crafts are developing in different areas of the region, but they lack a common center to coordinate their activities and protect the interests of each direction. An important step in preserving and developing the folk art of the region was the establishment of the Skopino Center for Folk Arts and Crafts. This center supports the development of small and medium-sized businesses. It is a well-equipped venue where masters can realize their abilities, and anyone interested can observe the creation of folk art pieces. The opening of the Center has allowed experienced and novice masters from the city, region, Russia, and abroad to come together, becoming a creative laboratory for representatives of various types of folk art. It has also increased the tourist appeal of the region and the city of Skopino.
