The Museum of the Urban Estate of Novo-Nikolayevsk is located in one of the few surviving residential buildings from the pre-revolutionary period in Novo-Nikolayevsk. This house, situated on Lenin Street, formerly known as Mikhailovskaya, was built in 1905 for the family of the coachman Evsei Metlin. In 1908 and 1912, the famous revolutionary Alexander Petukhov rented a room here.

Today, the coachman's house represents an example of typical wooden residential architecture of early 20th century Novo-Nikolayevsk. The museum has preserved the original layout of the living floor, and the basement has been restored to its original form. The recreated interiors and furnishings allow visitors to imagine the everyday life of ordinary residents of young Novo-Nikolayevsk. The exhibition is complemented by photographs and documents from the NGKM archives, telling the story of private coaching in the city.

A unique feature of the house is the preserved land plot of 250 fathoms, on which a typical early 20th-century urban estate courtyard will be arranged over time.
