In Samara, at 120 Frunze Street, there is a house where Eldar Ryazanov lived during the Kuybyshev years. Now, this apartment houses a museum dedicated to the famous director.

The museum's exhibition begins with a hall that introduces visitors to the history of the city, the country, and the war, as seen through the eyes of young Ryazanov and his peers. This helps to gain a deeper understanding of the director's life and work.

The central place in the museum is a small room where Ryazanov spent his early days and lived in evacuation during the war. The atmosphere of Soviet life in the first half of the 20th century has been recreated here. The room displays furniture passed down by the director's relatives from Samara, photographs, and documents telling about his parents, as well as Eldar's own memories of his childhood in Samara.

In the hall "Visiting Ryazanov," one can feel the atmosphere of his creative work and the hospitality of his Moscow apartment. This has been made possible thanks to the personal belongings of the director, donated to the museum by his family, including his wife Emma Valerianovna Abaydullina and daughter Olga Ryazanova.

Visitors can see sketches for films, paintings from his personal collection, his favorite jacket, glasses, autographs, scripts, as well as furniture and other personal items of Eldar Alexandrovich. All these items create a cozy and warm atmosphere.

The museum opened its doors on May 19, 2018.
