You can get acquainted with the wildlife of the region at the White Lake Museum, which is the second limnological museum in Russia and is dedicated to the unique geographical feature, White Lake. Opened in 2012, the museum showcases the beauty and diversity of the animal and plant world, traditional ways of using natural resources, as well as current ecological issues of the lake.

In the section 'From the Depths of the Ages,' fossils dating back to the Permian period of the Paleozoic era, 360 million years old, are presented. The zoological collection includes materials on the systematics and migrations of birds, as well as an insect collection.

The section 'Forest and Its Inhabitants' introduces forest animals such as bears, wolves, wild boars, foxes, and members of the weasel family, including badgers and wolverines. The section 'White Lake' discusses the hydrology of the lake, its fauna, flora, and the region's climate, showcasing fish, aquatic and semi-aquatic birds and animals.

In the section 'Traditional Forms of Natural Resource Use,' items related to fishing and hunting from the 19th and 20th centuries can be seen.

The section 'Minerals and Rocks of the World' features about 200 specimens, including amethyst from Brazil, charoite from the Urals, and astrophyllite from the Kola Peninsula.
