On March 25, 1995, the Memorial Museum of N. I. Beloborodov opened at 16 Lenin Avenue in the city center. This talented inventor created a new design of the keyboard chromatic harmonica and organized the world's first orchestra of harmonica players. In the history of folk music culture, the name of Nikolai Ivanovich Beloborodov holds one of the leading places. The instrument he invented with a chromatic tuning began to develop actively in both solo and collective performances. Beloborodov's harmonica became an important milestone in the creation of a new musical instrument, the bayan. The museum is located in a house built in the late 18th century by Nikolai Ivanovich's grandfather, M. M. Beloborodov, a well-known and wealthy man in Tula. The building features strict architecture with a central part highlighted by flat pilasters and radiating pediments above the central windows. The side windows are adorned with sills and triangular pediments, which, along with the attic window, give the building height. After the grandfather's death, the house was divided among the heirs, and in the mid-19th century, Nikolai Ivanovich became the owner of half of the second floor. Here, rehearsals of the home trio and the orchestra of harmonica players under his direction took place. In 1997, a memorial plaque was placed on the house.

The central exhibit of the museum is the chromatic harmonica of N. I. Beloborodov, made between 1875-1878 by master Leonty Alekseevich Chulkov. The exhibition also features family photographs of the inventor and the famous Tula harmonica manufacturers, the Kiselev brothers, whose harmonicas were competitive both in Russia and abroad. Visitors can see documents, furniture from the late 19th century, and bayan and harmonica productions from the Melodiya production association, now LLC Tula Harmonica.

During tours, visitors learn about the life and work of the self-taught Tula musician, conductor, and educator N. I. Beloborodov, as well as the masters and designers of harmonica production in the 19th and 20th centuries. In the museum's music parlor, one can listen to classical and folk music, watch musical films and cartoons. Lectures and museum-pedagogical classes are held for schoolchildren. The museum also hosts musical parlors, concerts, evenings, and creative meetings.
