The Bridge Tower in Izmailovo is one of the oldest monuments of Russian architecture in this area. Built in 1671-1679 on the orders of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich, it was originally part of a stone arch bridge over the Silver Pond. In the 1830s, after the establishment of a charitable institution by Nicholas I, the tower was used as a bell tower for the Protection Cathedral.

With the arrival of the Bolsheviks, the Bridge Tower became a storage space and gradually fell into disrepair. It was abandoned until its restoration in 1981, after which, starting in 1984, part of the exhibition of the State Historical Museum was housed there. Visitors could see finds from the Izmailovo estate and other ancient items, such as church gates, tiles, and bricks, some of which are over three hundred years old. Although the museum was small, it attracted attention with its uniqueness.

In 2018, restoration of the Bridge Tower began. Currently, repair work is being carried out on the tower, and it is closed off by scaffolding.
