The Drop of Life is one of the most impressive sculptural compositions installed in Kogalym. This famous monument, symbolizing the origins of the young city, is located on Ryabinovy Boulevard, which is a popular place for walks and relaxation for residents.
The composition harmoniously fits into the architectural ensemble of the boulevard. The 'Drop of Life' is situated in the center of the walking area, standing out among the fountains and flowerbeds. The monument, which exceeds 8.5 meters in height, was gifted to the city by oil workers in honor of the tenth anniversary of the Lukoil company. The author of the sculpture, installed in 2001 in the main square, is A. N. Kovalchuk.
The bronze composition symbolizes the hard work of oil workers for a decent life and the well-being of millions of people, and it also serves as an example of natural wealth and inexhaustible energy. Scenes from the life of the taiga city are depicted on the facets of the drop: a young couple at the doors of the registry office, children, indigenous people, nature, and the oil industry.
Today, the sculpture 'Drop of Life' is rightly considered one of the main attractions of the city.
