Hoya Monument

Фото 1
A 72-foot (about 22 meters) tall column with a sphere on top is installed on a square pedestal. It was originally called the Alexandrian and was built in 1814 by Mikhail Hoya in honor of the visit of Emperor of All Russia Alexander the First to Great Britain.

At the base of the column, there is a commemorative plaque. On the opposite side, a new plaque of similar size and appearance has been installed, dedicated to the Crimean War.
