One of the key attractions of Stavropol is the monument "Guardian Angel," erected by local authorities in 2002 in honor of the city's 225th anniversary. The monument is located in Alexander Square, next to the shopping and entertainment center "Gallery."

The monument is a column clad in red granite, 25 meters tall, topped with a bronze Angel. It stands with one foot on a gilded hemisphere.
