The monastery in honor of the Icon of the Mother of God "Znamenie" (fr. Monastère féminin Notre-Dame-du-Signe or Monastère orthodoxe de l’icône de la Mère de Dieu Znaménié) is an Orthodox women's monastery of the Korsun Diocese. It is located in the village of Travers, near the commune of Marsena in the Cantal department of France.
Founded on February 17, 1988, the monastery is 80 km south of Clermont-Ferrand and 500 km from Paris. Its establishment was blessed by the Exarch of the Moscow Patriarchate in Western Europe, Metropolitan Vladimir (Sabodan).
With the help of the abbot Varsanofiy (Ferrier), the spiritual father of the monastery, a new stone church was built. This church, consecrated on August 10, 1996, by Bishop Guriy of Korsun (Shalimov), is dedicated to All Saints.
The monastery houses a unique icon created by artist S. A. Raevskaya-Otsup under the guidance of Sister Ioanna (Reitlinger). It is based on the lost embroidery of nun Maria (Skobtsova) and depicts the Mother of God embracing the Infant Christ, already crucified on the cross.
The monastic community is led by nun Anastasia.
