The great Russian artist and architect Viktor Mikhailovich Vasnetsov rests at the ancient Lutheran Vvedenskoe Cemetery. He was a full member of the Academy of Arts and the founder of the pseudo-Russian style. Many know him for such paintings as "The Bogatyrs," "Ivan Tsarevich on the Gray Wolf," "Alyonushka," "After the Battle of Igor Svyatoslavich with the Polovtsians," "Tsar Ivan Vasilyevich the Terrible," and other famous works.

Initially, Vasnetsov was buried at Lazarevskoye Cemetery, but after its destruction in 1937, the artist's remains were transferred to Vvedenskoe Cemetery, to plot 18.

Finding Vasnetsov's grave is easy: enter the cemetery from the side of Hospital Wall Street, walk along the central alley to the end of plot 8, then turn left and go straight. To the right will be plot 18, and in the 4th row, you will see the grave of Viktor Mikhailovich. It is easily recognizable by the white monument featuring a fragment of the painting "The Knight at the Crossroads." Nearby are the graves of the famous writer Mikhail Prishvin and Viktor's younger brother, the artist Apollinary Mikhailovich Vasnetsov.
