Her Serene Highness Princess Maria Alexandrovna Volkonskaya, born Benkendorf, was born on May 24, 1820, and passed away on November 4, 1880. In 1837, she was appointed lady-in-waiting to Empress Alexandra Fyodorovna, and a year later married Prince Grigory Petrovich Volkonsky, a chamberlain and actual state councilor.

His Serene Highness Prince Pyotr Grigoryevich Volkonsky, chamberlain of the Imperial Court, was born on August 14, 1843, and died on August 19, 1896.

Count Pavel Konstantinovich Benkendorf, adjutant general, general of cavalry, and chief court marshal, was born on March 29, 1853, and passed away on January 28, 1921. He studied at the Page Corps and served in the Cavalry Guard Regiment. During the Russo-Turkish War, he participated in battles on the Caucasian front, and after its conclusion, he was accepted into court service. In 1905, he became an adjutant general, and in 1912, a general of cavalry. He was the chief court marshal of the imperial court and was part of the inner circle of Nicholas II, being a member of the State Council and the imperial yacht club.

During the February Revolution, he was at the Alexander Palace with Empress Alexandra Fyodorovna and the royal children. After the arrest of Nicholas II and his family, he was detained with them and parted ways when they were sent to Tobolsk. Later, he wrote memoirs about the royal family. In 1921, he received permission to leave Soviet Russia and emigrated to Estonia, but fell ill on the way and died in Narva.

His merits were recognized with awards: "Golden Weapon for Bravery," and the orders of "Saint Alexander Nevsky," "White Eagle," "Saint Vladimir" II class, "Saint Anna" I class, and "Saint Stanislaus" I class.
