Today, the museum houses many authentic items that have returned to their original places after decades. In the poet's study, you can see his writing desk, favorite Voltaire chair, travel chest, writing desk, canes, smoking pipe, and an inkwell with a figurine of a little black boy. These and other items remind us of Alexander Pushkin's life. In his wife's room, there is her portrait painted in 1832 by artist A. P. Bryullov, as well as her personal belongings: a perfume bottle, coral bracelet, beaded and silk purses, and other mementos. Among the genuine relics of Pushkin are also portraits of him and his family members. The museum has collected items related to the duel and death of A. S. Pushkin, including the vest he wore on the day of the duel, a lock of hair cut at the request of I. S. Turgenev, a death mask made by sculptor S. I. Galberg, and the sofa on which the poet passed away on January 29, 1837.
