Фото 1
This complex was created to perpetuate the memory of all the heroes from the city of Nyagan who sacrificed their lives and honor for the Fatherland on the battlefield. On May 9, 2001, the ceremonial laying of the first stone for the construction of the complex took place, and on May 8, 2005, the Memorial was opened.

The memorial complex is dedicated to the participants of the Great Patriotic War, as well as those who died in the Afghan War, the Chechen campaign, and other hotspots. A 12-meter tall granite stele is crowned with a majestic bronze statue of St. George the Victorious, symbolizing selfless sacrifice for the Fatherland. Around the memorial are marble slabs with the engraved names of the heroes.

In front of the stele, an Eternal Flame burns on the platform. Surrounding it are granite cubes depicting all the medals and orders that existed in the award system of the Russian state.

The area of the Memorial Complex can accommodate up to 5,000 people for celebrations. Here, one can also relax, sit on benches under the rare sun, stroll along the paths, and reflect in the shade of ancient pines.
