The house-gallery dedicated to the great writer and poet Majit Gafuri is located in Ufa. This memorial house ranks first in attendance among writers' museums in the region.
According to archival data, the writer lived here with his family for 11 years, starting in 1923. The house has six spacious rooms, three of which are dedicated to the poet's work and have been restored to the finest details.
Interestingly, the entire interior has been preserved, including individual elements that convey the atmosphere of early 20th-century homes. Everything here tells about both the life of Majit Gafuri and his creative path.
The gallery was established in 1948, 14 years after the poet's death. Half of the rooms convey the interior decoration, while the other part houses original documents and works of the writer. Additionally, this building is recognized as a vivid example of 20th-century architecture and is a division of the state museum of literature of the republic.
