Edward Espinosa (1871, 1950) was one of the founders and the chief examiner of the Association of Opera Dance, now known as the Royal Academy of Dance, and also established the British Ballet Organization. He was born in Moscow to Leon Espinosa, a well-known figure in Russia, and Mathilde Oberst.

A memorial plaque is installed on the house at 39 Lonsdale Rd, London SW13 9JP with the inscription:
