In 2011, a memorial plaque was installed on the building of the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in honor of the outstanding Russian architect Nikolai Petrovich Krasnov. The opening ceremony was attended by the Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Vuk Jeremic. The choice of location for the memorial plaque is not accidental, as Krasnov designed the building that now houses the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia.
This building is considered one of the most majestic and beautiful in Belgrade. It was originally constructed for the Ministry of Forestry, Mining, and Agriculture in 1926-1929. The project was developed by Nikolai Petrovich Krasnov himself, who was fully responsible for its implementation. The building is executed in the neoclassical style and is one of the architect's best works both in Serbia and beyond.
