Фото 1
The memorial "Glory to Heroes," a commemorative monument in the city of Izluchinsk, was opened in June 2006 in honor of the Day of Memory and Sorrow. It consists of marble slabs over which a crane flies. The slabs are inscribed with the names of those who died in the Great Patriotic War, local residents, as well as internationalist soldiers who fell in hot spots.

Funds for the construction of the monument were raised through collective efforts. The monument is surrounded by paving stones and a metal fence, and at night it is illuminated by six lanterns. Authorities plan to plant trees and shrubs around the area soon for landscaping.

Izluchinsk in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug is famous for its attractions, and the memorial "Glory to Heroes" is one of the most well-known sites. It is visited by both locals and guests of the city. Ceremonial rallies are often held here.
